  • Definition and resteriction of dangerous goods
Dangerous goods in air freight refers to the freight that may endanger the flight of the airplane or put passengers in danger or damage other freights due to the change in temperature of pressure of airplane during the air shipping or vibration, friction, and other generated during the shipping.

The cabin or the airplane is spatially very restricted and there is high probability that small risk factor lead to huge accident. Therefore, regulation on dangerous goods is very strict.

Dangerous goods by air cargo is determined, classified and restricted based on dangerous goods regulation(DGR) issued by intermation Air Transport Association(IATA)
With the diversity in the trait of freight, DGR also is being detailed and the requlation related to dangerous goods of each country and airlines are becoming stricter for the air sagery.

In case of shipping dangerous goods on ground may be classified as dangerous goods in air transportation according to DGR. Therefore, if there is a little doubt, please send inquiry to our staff, and check in-advance.
  • Definition and restriction of dangerous goods
  1. Packing
    • Dangerous goods restricted in DGR must be packed in packaging certified by IATA or packaging tested by Korea Conformity Laboratories in order to be accepted as air freight.
Maximum quantity in each packaging is regulated according to degree or danger, type of inner & outer packaging, type of air craft(passenger/cargo craft), and others.
  2. LABELING & MARKING
    • All dangerous goods must be attached of the labeling and marking prescribed in DGR so that proper handling can be carried out in whole procedures of air transportation. Thus, airlines don't accept any DG with even small error or mistake in labelling & marking
  3. Document
    • The shipper and the forwarder must issue shipper's declaration for dangers goods, and AWB according to the regulation of DGR.
